New Alliance Race: ERADAR

http://msu.edu/~rathbun3/eradar.jpg
http://msu.edu/~rathbun3/eradar2.jpg

The Eredar, an insidious race of devilish sorcerers, used their warlock magics to invade and enslave a number of worlds. The indigenous races of those worlds were mutated by the Eredar's malevolent powers and turned into demons themselves. Though Sargeras's nearly limitless powers were more than enough to defeat the vile Eredar, he was greatly troubled by the creatures' corruption and all-consuming evil. Incapable of fathoming such depravity, the great Titan began to slip into a brooding depression. Despite his growing unease, Sargeras rid the universe of the warlocks by trapping them within a corner of the Twisting Nether.

Eredar were supreme sorcerers at the dawn of the universe. Some believe that they devoured their own world by using radical warlock magics. They consumed all life around them and set out to find more places of mystical power. The Eredar were Sargeras's first recruits in the Burning Legion, serving as tactical advisors and intelligence officers. Eredar warlocks are now counted as some of the greatest sorcerers in the universe. Pre-eminence in Eredar warlock society depends almost entirely upon magical power. Those who command the greatest selection of paramount spells - and thus in theory the greatest magical arsenal - rise to higher ranks. Those whose arcane abilities top out at such pitiful cantrips as wish and shapechange are grunts and lackeys, scarcely worthy of notice.

What was wrong with my thread? And Eredar being an alliance race is fucked up but I will admit my mistakes. Although there are similarities between Eredar and unmutated Draenei. This doesn't seem like it will help the population imbalance in the slightest.

I like being the underplayed faction....it's fun because we still own them and usually show up in fewer numbers.

Pretty interesting. So essentially...we're both getting races influenced by demonic magic and the like. Very cool. I bet their racials are incredible.

I don't see how the alliance is even letting them in. "Hey, last time we saw you guys was when you and Archimonde were marching on the world tree, but its ok, you're cool now."

I read a story on the general forum that sounds at least like it has some, if stretched, reasoning. Apparently the wisps that raped Archimonde ended up merging with life forms in Hyjaal and due to their contact with Archimonde the things they merged with started to transform into Eredar. So these Eredar are actually night elves in demon bodies. At firs they were so repulsed by their form that they hid but the real demons viewed them as abominations and were hunting them and to save themselves they have finally gone back to their relatives the night elves and the alliance.

As someone in the thread said, it's about as plausible as Archimonde jizzing all over the world tree and his sperm turning into a new race of Eredar that weren't evil due to their world tree influence, but whatever.

Yeah the story makes no sense to me. If you think you can explain it feel free to try.

Callum, that is the most awesome thing you've said for a long time. I'm gonna quote you on that one. You should send that in on resumes, as part of your personal statement and philosophy.

The story is completely faked and you didn't even get it right. The wisps were left on Hyjal when Archimonde was defeated. They eventually make it into Felwood where they start taking over demons. Archimonde wasn't involved as far as I know.

There's nothing to "get right." There is no official story and there are several different stories floating around. When people are just making shit up and there are several different versions out accurately reporting one may sound like inaccurately reporting others. lear2rumour please.

Now taking bets that the Eredar were leaked intentionally by Blizzard to keep the real race a secret.
