Reading the subject line, I came in here expecting something really epic.

You have failed me.

RE: I can hear the war drums
I am in San Diego on vacation for a few more days, but I will register when I get back to florida. I will call it right now, I am going to repeat. Hairdo, if you get the 1st pick again, I am going to formally call shenanigans like last year and beat you in the playoffs again.

Side note, I am going to Chargers Training Camp on Saturday to watch them practice. I love being a 31 year old kid. Smile

envy me.

Sometimes I enjoy holding other people's balls through their pockets, weird coincidence.

RE: I can hear the war drums
Did you see their 1st team offense? Romo was 4 for 11 for 30 yards and their running game amassed a whooping 7 or 8 yards in the 1st half. TOP was under 7 minutes. 54 rushing yards on 23 attempts the whole game.

I am giving the NFC East to the Redskins. More feared division in the league my ass.

envy me.

I don't know about feared, but it's certainly looking to be the most balanced. They could wind up with a bunch of really tough 8-8 teams.

RE: I can hear the war drums
Lets break this down then.

NFC West
49ers - Only balanced team in the west and Alex (edit: I had put garcia) Smith is ok, the defense is a top 5 D.
Seahawks - Offensive weapon reload. Good Luck Pete Carrol, but you need a defense someday, this isn't USC.
Rams - Rebuilding, but getting there.
Cardinals - Yeah, Leinart or Anderson, your pick, still poison.

NFC North
Vikings - Favre makes the difference. Sorry Packers, you get the wild card.
Pack - Good Team, aging defense, will have to rely on wins from their offense.
Lions - Their defense will be beast in 2-3 years. I like their rookies on O as well. Few more years.
Bears - Jay Cutler, lol.

NFC South
Saints - Best team in an meh division.
Falcons - Only team in the south that can challenge the O of the Saints. (I love Matt Ryan)
Panthers - how long does it take to rebuild? Wasnt this a playoff team like 3 years ago?
Tampa - Ok, I live here, and even the town knows they are going to be god awful.

NFC East
Redskins - McNabb is the only QB in this division worth a shit anymore.
Eagles - Kolb is better than Eli and the eagles are better than dallas and new york
Cowboys/Giants - Will not shock me one bit if both these teams end up 6-10.

Playoffs
(WildCard)
Packers at Redskins Pack wins
Falcons at Vikings Vikings win in the 4th.
(Divisional)
Pack v Saints Pack Wins
Vikings v 49ers 49ers win in a blow out.
(Championship)
Pack v 9ers 9ers win a low scoring rainy game at Candlestick in January.

AFC West
Chargers - No challegers left.
Raiders - Rebuilding starts at the QB position
Chiefs - Monster secondary, very young. Get Cassel a reliable target please.
Donkos - You can blame injuries, I blame Josh McDaniels.

AFC North
Bengals - Best team in an aging division with no real out front winner.
Ravens - Aging Defense, Flacco is going to be exposed for his lack of accuracy this season.
Steelers - Only team I hate more is the Broncos. Their defense was crap without Troy last year, this year they have moved backwards, not forward. And their Lead RB has a problem holding onto the ball.
Browns - Still rebuilding, but will fight to leave the cellar.

AFC South - Easily the best division in football, Possibly both wild cards from this division.
Colts - 2 words, Peyton Manning.
Texans - An Explosive offense and under the radar top 12 defense.
Titans - Vince Young can only do so much. CJ is good, but will be keyed on all season.
Jaquars - Always a middle of the road team, but in this division, that is not good enough

AFC East
Dolphins - Impressed. Was a good team last year, will be much better this year.
Patriots - Their D is like 40 years old now. Their O is like 33. Its good for one maybe 2 more seasons.
Jets - The Rugby team from New York has no QB. Was I the only person who saw how bad Dirty Sanchez is? Even on HBO, with editing, he misses his target more often then I piss on the toilet seat.
Bills - Its the Bills.

Playoffs
(WildCard)
Texans at Dolphins Fins at home, all the way.
Titans at Bengals Titans upset the Bengals, Ochocinco blames TO.
(Divisional)
Titans v Colts Colts
Dolphins v Chargers High scoring shoot out, with the Chargers winning 44-38
(Championship)
Colts v Chargers 3rd time in 4 years, San Diego shows manning a way home during the playoffs.

SuperBowl -
49ers v Chargers Repeat of the 1994 SuperBowl. San Diego blows out the 9ers, I go on a 1 man riot through downtown tampa.

my preseason predictions. Obvisouly some of this shit will be completely wrong, but that is how I look at the NFL. Your opinion, while valid to you, means nothing to me because all I do all day is waste time reading about football.

envy me.

RE: I can hear the war drums
I like your optimism about the pack but our D took a step back from last year which had major flaws to begin with. There is no way Pack vs 49ers is a low scoring affair. We knocked Smith out and their 2nd string QB torched our D when they went to a spread offense. Apparently, last year only the Steelers and Cards watched that game and those 2 teams went on to combine for over 900 yards passing and nearly 100 points in 2 games.

I do like your 49ers pick though. If Smith sits down and has a chat with Dilfer he's on his way to being the next average QB to win a SB.
